[Amazon.ca] [Warehouse] Hunt's Heirloom Diced Tomato - 398ml - $1 + Free Prime Shipping

Saw these in the Warehouse. Not an add-on item. So if you're Prime, you get free shipping.
Reason they are in the warehouse is because the best before date is August 25th 2020.

As of this post, there are 96 73 in stock.

Hunt's Heirloom Diced Tomato - 398ml, 1 Count - $1.00

The tomatoes may be diced, but the cans will be crushed. Thanks Amazon.

Not so much of a deal, when you can get double the amount at 796 ml can of no name dice tomatoes for $1 currently at superstore or no frills.

Once you order it it shows up on your order details.
Condition: New - This item will expire on 25/08/20.

It's technically a best before date though, not an expiry date.

As long as the integrity of the can is intact, it should last a long time. I found one 2 years past expiry, which I opened and used for spaghetti sauce last week. Didn't die.

yeah but you're trying to compare heirloom tomatoes to whatever standard tomato is used in no name diced tomatoes. Heirloom is always more expensive as you're paying for higher quality tomatoes. If it doesn't matter to you either way, then just go with what you like.

Personally I think a buck a can for diced heirloom tomatoes with free delivery to my door is worth it.

Although, I haven't eaten enough different variety types of canned tomatoes to discern if there is difference. Personally, if I were to eat a quality vegetable of a different strain, I would rather use the actual vegetable from the produce section.
