[Amazon.ca] Warm? Acer 14" full HD Chomebook $299

Saw this on Amazon this morning and thinking of getting it to replace a 10 year old Acer S3 that is getting a bit long in the tooth... seems like a good deal for a 14" with full HD IPS panel. No experience with ChromeOS.

Not much storage but it does have an SD card slot.

Thoughts?

Updated.. added link to product (too damn early doing things like this)

Might as well take the HP Stream 14 for $199.

Before people get upset you might want to atleast link the product.
Bonus points for removing warm? From the title

The HP stream for 199$ is WAY better since you can go windows, android or linux (arch?) on it and it's the n400 people were saying

Kind of an odd decision on Acer's part to omit a SD card reader. Otherwise it would be a good buy.

Only downside is the processor but it's a Chromebook so the use case for it is different...

if this is any indication of return rate

https://www.amazon.ca/gp/offer-listing/ ... ition=used

Probably because of MediaTek MT8173C Processor which is slow Arm architecture low power cpu variant.

Thanks, but for Windows, my 10 year old 2nd gen i5 Acer S3 is probably as good if not better (it's just the screen that sux).

And I don't have the patience for Linux, my tinkering days are over.

I would definitely want a touch screen on a Chromebook. Boggles my mind how many don't.

This is what's holding me back on this one. Last week I picked up the Lenovo C330 for $249...but still not sure about my purchase as it's not FULL HD, but do like that it's touch and the 360 hinge. Not sure what's a better option in this price range :(

It doesn't. Expand that answer and you'll see that others clarify that it's wrong. I also looked at external specs, and there's no SD slot of any kind.
