The C330 is mostly great man. I have one and you won't find anything better for the price.

Slow Mediatek processor makes this a bad choice.

I gave the C330 a shot based on its good reviews and I couldn't stand the thing. Performance was so-so at best, but the 720p 11" screen with the massive bezels was too much for me.

I am giving the S330 a shot with the FHD screen this time as I don't need touch necessarily.

I ordered the Lenovo S330 last night. I don't really know the different processors. Can anyone confirm that it is slower than other Chromebooks in that price range?

I got the Acer from US Prime Day deal. N3160 is quad core. Overall, it's a decent everyday/travel/school laptop. Some tips after using the Acer for a few months....

Pros:
  • Speedy for web surfing, youtube, doc/spreadsheet editing, light bash/Python scripting.
  • All aluminum casing, so somewhat durable + thin + lightweight.
  • Fantastic screen.
  • Very good keyboard/touchpad.
  • Excellent battery life.
  • Integrates well with Android ecosystem (using phone to unlock, chrome-cast etc)
  • Runs most apps from Google Playstore. Sometimes, I just pretend it's a giant Android Pad with a keyboard/touchpad instead of a touchscreen.
  • Don't need to install Linux (ChromeOS is Linux), just install the Terminal (beta) app. Very surprised to see people actually contribute to the package manager. Didn't expect to find X11 apps.
  • I have good luck running "Crossover" app - essentially a WINE front-end that runs Windows executables.
Cons:
  • Charging port is non-standard plug and looks fragile.
  • Casing comes with a couple sharp edges on the bottom.

My question is: WHERE exactly can I buy HP Stream 14 for $199 [as you said]?

With the LINK please, cuz I'm failing big time to confirm your statement to the point of calling it BS.

Canada Computers has the refurb of this chromebook for $209, https://www.canadacomputers.com/product ... _id=124304

The major drawback of this CB is the weight @ 3.42 lbs and the lack of type C charging. If you can live with that then this CB looks quite stellar.
