[Amazon.ca] *Warm* Gooseneck Kettle Cusimax 1000W Electric Kettle 1L, Variable Kettle with 6 Temperatures $66.99

Been looking for a eletric gooseneck kettle for a while and finally saw one that I would love to have, it has 6 temperature presets with a 1L limit.

Cuisamax = Chinese cuisanart? The cuisanart is only $30 more. Unless this is a known brand that the be just never heard of, I don't think its trustworthy. CCC normal price $73

The only thing warm about this deal is the water that comes out of this kettle

It's not racist to point out that it's a Chinese knockoff brand... get a load of yourself

Sounds like it. $67 for a no-name kettle? Rather spend the extra money on something that I know won't blow up due to stringent safety standards.

EverydayCloudy wrote: tbh $67 for a variable temperature gooseneck kettle is pretty good IMO especially given the higher than normal demand for kettles currently.

These no-name gooseneck kettles were much cheaper few years ago. The latest pour-over, aeropress coffee craze has the prices going up..

Funny thread.
i generally thought see through glass kettles looked cool. This is a handsome kettle. What's the benefit of a goose neck though? Better pour control?

Except one is a reputable North American appliance brand since 1971 that has a reputation to uphold and wouldn’t willingly release a subpar dangerous product, while the other “company” could just disappear without a trace overnight should any of their products be faulty or dangerous.

Just because they’re made in the same country doesn’t mean they’re held to the same quality and safety standards... iPhones and cheap $40 no name Android phones you find on Amazon are both made in China. Does that mean they’re the same?

And? The same principle applies. Just because products are made in the same country doesn't mean they'll have the same quality...
