At that price...You should be getting UHD and the books too lol....that's a steep price.

The LOTR series was 68 bucks in october...I don't think the hobbit is worth.....190 bucks even with the collection packaging...

And I'm a huge LOTR fan too

My $78 LOTR 4k came in today. Missed the $68 deal.

$251 is $30-$40 cheaper than its usual price. Sunrise was selling this at $270 which is still cheaper than Amazon on release date.

Peter Jackson should have loaded all the avaiable bonus material in this set. Missed opportunity.

Still have my softcover copy from 1968 that I used in Science Fiction and Modern Fiction English in 1971/72 in HS as well as the first edition Silmarillion in hardcover among other books. But yeah, the boxset is way too expensive. Do we even know if this set is a rescan or an upconversion? I'll stick with what I have for now...

Seems so old fashioned to have a stack of 31 discs. Such a pain to organize and swap around etc

Review here....colour changes, they spent time and effort on the 4k for LOTR as it is older than the Hobbit.

What’s the difference between your $78 set and this one?

You're just paying for the packaging on this one.

Bonus stuff is not the best nor the most extensive....too bad.

Honestly, I don't want to see those crappy Wolfe's from two towers in 4k.
