[Amazon.ca] WD 16TB Elements Desktop External Hard Drive - $315.09

$315.09 / 16TB = 19.69 per TB (22.25/TB tax incl.)

Not quite ATL but a good deal and meets the 20 per TB criteria many of us look for.

Please remember to put the price in the title of the thread, thanks!

WD drives over 6TB should be CMR if I recall correctly, in case anyone is curious.

8TB and above are CMR drives. Anything below 8TB is SMR.

Typically WD Red (NAS) white label drives, but as always, you're rolling the dice..

Bought 2 for the old Unraid server.... was between this and the 14 TBs, either way I need to go through the process of upgrading the parity drive size so might as well get the bigger ones at slightly cheaper cost per TB...

$19.69 per TB before Tax.
The best HDD drive ever was the WD price error for WD Golds, that was $14.19 per TB.
This deal is kind of what can be expected, anything lower than $19 would be a great deal.
$20 is usually the price to beat tho.

If you need to expand your PC storage, I'd add $30 more for the Red Pro at WD site, without PST makes it cheaper.

Has anyone done returns directly to WD for “unwanted gift items”. Want to make sure I won’t have an issue with returns if I find a better deal.
