Is Evo 870 worth the extra $40 comparing to this?

It depends if you only plan to use it for storing games or as a boot drive.

It's bottom of the barrel DRAMless.

The EVO has a 5 year warranty.

No, use a hard drive for back-up, it's much cheaper.
Don't buy electronics in advance but when you need it, it gets better and cheaper with time.

It's an internal drive with a SATA III connector, so it's only suitable for internal installs to desktop PCs, or perhaps in a quite old external enclosure. It's not particularly fast, so it's best used as a backup drive or storage of data that doesn't change very often e.g. photo archive.

How about for running virtualized machines? Aka VMs in an ESXi environment?

does it matter?
yeah Good price. Might buy as price is cheap and I can replace my 1TB old laptop drive. Old disk is regular HDD from Dell.

Not sure why this one is expensive as I stopped caring about tech advantages.

Tried new coffee and doughnut. Found same old stale thing. expected bill of six bucks but it was 600 million. Big mistake so the guy said don't worry it is on the house. going back to McD.
