on one of the photos, it says you can turn on the TV with it.... is that really possible? the only way i can think of on how to turn the TV (or any appliance without a physical switch) on smartly is by using a Harmony hub

Those who missed it should not be sorry. Price was very good, but some major caveats for these types of products:
- mostly fake reviews on Amazon;
- FCC and ETL certification stickers are likely fake (very common occurrence in China-made electrical equipment);
- forces you to use a sketchy mobile app which may expose your mobile to vulnerability;
- opens up your WiFi network to major insecurity, very likely that your password is sent un-encrypted to a sketchy server in China;
- theoretically very easy to remotely hack into (although it is unlikely that many foreign hackers will put in the effort to hack your switch only to be able turn your lights on/off at odd times);
