[Amazon.ca] WiFi Smart Plug Outlet for Apple HomeKit $31.99

Besides Christmas, it's the lowest it's been since June of last year.

lets see, works with siri, apple homekit
your standard smart plug that can turn on/off/monitor
cheaper than the last sale too (which was $39.99)

EDIT: oops forgot to post how to get it to $31.99

Color Name: White <------- but really i think the code should work for the black too? tho white looks more smexy imo

Thanks for the post. Would this work with the Google Assistant on Android? If not, is there a Google equivalent?

Pretty good price, but it was quite a bit lower around Christmas time?

Attention anyone who wants to buy this product.

It does not work on anything but a 2.4 GhZ network. Not even mixed mode.

I find this weird since it's HomeKit compatible and iPhones with HomeKit are typically running 5 GhZ.

I bought this item and immediately returned it once I was able to confirm the product will not work with my mixed mode network.

The worst part about all this is, after I posted a genuine review of the product (1 Star), the company emailed me and tried buying a better review. First they asked me to change it and then keep the device free of charge. It was too late though. I had already returned it. Then they asked me to just straight up change my review.

Hey BabaBocher, is there anything out there that supports 5GHz?

Unfortunately, I do not. There are other ones out there but they either do not work with HomeKit, or do not specify the frequency they work on.

The Wink v2 hub is the only device I know of but I don't know of any IoT plugs that are 5GHz-able. I looked at Elgato Eve but that is only BT.

Good price, but potential buyers should be aware that these plugs take up a lot of space. They will get in the way of the outlets on both sides if used in between outlets.

I'll stick to the iHome iSP6's that avoids the space issue.

I wish this one was compatible with SmartThings or Wink.

I honestly believe Apple Homekit is too close and late.

I use these to solve that problem. Especially helpful when trying to plug in essentials in my UPS.

No worries, it seems to the OP made the edit to include the code after I made my post.
