I've used Wood for many years. Never on purpose, price was always right at Home Depot.
Never had an issue.

280J doesn't seem like much protection for your electronics. Maybe only use it for your peripheral electronics and accessories.

Costco has a premium one for 7 bucks more.
That will likely outlast these ones with ease

I would consider them. I have a few Woods devices for a few years with no issues.

I bought a similar one about 9 months ago: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B077VV4GQC . It has been working fine. I only needed an extension cord to get additional outlets but it was inexpensive and has a switch which is not present in cheap extension cords. I don't know how useful it is for suppressing surges.

I have a couple of the Costco APC one and it's soo nice, has 11ports + 2usb ports, has a thick 8ft cord with an angled port, the cord can also swivel on the bar, and it's has a wayyyy higher rated protection at over 2000joules

Woods products I've used have CSA certification. They aren't a bad brand at all.

Interestingly, I always have those fancy APC ones broken. But I've never managed to break any simple power bar yet.

(I'm not trying to de-value OP's post, but ...)

IKEA carries similar 2 pack power bars for $9 regular price.

You don't get Amazon delivering $13 order to you for free either.

I'm all for quality, but I don't think I've ever had a power bar fail on me before.
