I've used Wood for many years. Never on purpose, price was always right at Home Depot.sachinvbagade wrote: ↑ How's the brand?

280J doesn't seem like much protection for your electronics. Maybe only use it for your peripheral electronics and accessories.

Costco has a premium one for 7 bucks more.
That will likely outlast these ones with ease

I would consider them. I have a few Woods devices for a few years with no issues.sachinvbagade wrote: ↑ How's the brand?

I bought a similar one about 9 months ago: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B077VV4GQC . It has been working fine. I only needed an extension cord to get additional outlets but it was inexpensive and has a switch which is not present in cheap extension cords. I don't know how useful it is for suppressing surges.sachinvbagade wrote: ↑ How's the brand?

I have a couple of the Costco APC one and it's soo nice, has 11ports + 2usb ports, has a thick 8ft cord with an angled port, the cord can also swivel on the bar, and it's has a wayyyy higher rated protection at over 2000joulesBikramjeetSGarcha wrote: ↑ Costco has a premium one for 7 bucks more.

Woods products I've used have CSA certification. They aren't a bad brand at all.sachinvbagade wrote: ↑ How's the brand?

Interestingly, I always have those fancy APC ones broken. But I've never managed to break any simple power bar yet.

(I'm not trying to de-value OP's post, but ...)

I'm all for quality, but I don't think I've ever had a power bar fail on me before.BikramjeetSGarcha wrote: ↑ Costco has a premium one for 7 bucks more.
