Most people will never use all the cables all at once. It's just extra flexibility to work for those who have a heavily overclocked many core processor as well as those who have a lot of video cards.

id appreciate the effort. but if you were very unique and needed both 6 gpu 8 pins and dual 8 pins, its there.......
theres actually 0 pci. i have never seen a pci device use power adapter......... im not too sure if there are older ones that require the floppy connecter.
