[Amazon.ca] YMMV: Amazon.ca $10 promo credit with purchase of $50 gift card OR $7.50 promo credit when reload $100 Amazon Gift Card

Ok. So I know I've seen this post in RFD a lot in the past and it works maybe 1 out of 20 times. I tried it today and it worked on my account. I checked a couple of other existing accounts and it works there too. Not sure if it works with new accounts.

When you have a $50 Amazon.ca eGift card, on the last step of the checkout it says:
"Congratulations, your purchase qualifies you for an Amazon.ca promotional credit. A $10 promotional credit will be automatically applied to your account and emailed to you within three (3) days after shipping."

No promo code needed. Applied automatically for me.

Edit: Looks like I spoke too soon lol. I checked some other amazon accounts and it looks like only the ones I made recent purchases on got it.

Edit2: There's also another offer: For a limited time, get a $7.50 promotional credit when you reload your Amazon.ca Gift Card Balance for the first time with $100 or more. This one seems more random or is limited to first time reloads only. Link is here, look for the tiny message near the top that says "Reload $100, get a $7.50 bonus": https://www.amazon.ca/b?ie=UTF8&node=9230166011

Didn't see the 'Congrats' message so I presume I'm not eligible and cancelled order. Thanks anyway, OP.

Do you have to place the order, before you see if you're in title to receive the $10?
TIA

No. It's literally right before the last step. (After you fill in your billing and shipping details)

I saw this offer in my account as well. Clipped the coupon to my account.

I assume you can use the gift card yourself? Can anyone who's used this confirm. Thanks

Gift card can be claimed by any account, including the account it was purchased from.

Was able to get the $7.50 for reloading $100... Last did the offer in November and had a small gift card balance
