[Amazon.ca] YMMV - Read for free with prime reading, earn a $5 credit

After buying the $30 Amazon gift card, the below banner popped up from Amazon.ca
I am on the trial version of Prime so not sure if its targeted. The $5 credit showed up in my email within 15 minutes after going through the steps and it expires in 30 days.
YMMV.

If you're talking about the Audible promo, that's a different deal.

There should be 3x credit promos going on right now:
1. Reload/Buy $30 GC, get $6.
2. Audible, 2 free audiobooks and $5.
3. Prime Reading, borrow any book and get $5 (this one seems to be YMMV because its not working/showing up for me).

Total: $11

Pick any book from here by right clicking and opening in a new tab.

https://www.amazon.ca/kindle-dbs/hz/boo ... pr_acq_ppu

Then Tap the "read for 0.00" where the add to cart button usually is, THEN go back to this link: https://www.amazon.ca/amazonprime?_enco ... member_btn and tap CLAIM

I used the first link to pick any book. It asked me to use kindle app, but I just closed the page. Then I clicked 2nd link and I see the button to claim the $5.
Apparently, you don't actually need to open the book. You just need to click read on any book there.

I’ve done it, claimed the code, but it doesn’t come up when I try to buy something?

It will show up in the final summary page before you press the last button to order.

Weird, I don't see the claim button... My books are in my library. Anyone have a screenshot?
