And how come the one OP Listed just say 1.8L while normally its how many 'cups'? Does 1.8L = 7.6 cups then??

Wake me up when one of these top line IH+Micom badguys drop below $200. 3 to 5.5 cup's fine

* NP-NWC10
* NP-HCC10
* NP-GBC05
* NS-YAC10

I guess the Zojirushi NS-ZCC10 could be had for $229 - $50 right now. But that one doesn't do brown rice.

Thanks OP, I look at these frequently as well (was just looking last night -- no price cut discounts or coupons) and this is the best I've seen in a long while.Keepa checks out too for lowest yearly maybe next to Black Fri last year, bit wasn't willing to wait. Considering they cancelled prime day this year as well... may be it for a while. Went with the 3 cup IH with $50 off. Don't need a large size, mostly cooking for 1 or 2.

Umami is about same price and no IH. Neuro fuzzy doesnt Gabba.

Looking forward to it!! First Zoj

Great rice cooker. I have the 5 cup model which makes plenty for my son and I and a few leftover dishes to freeze for work.

What’s the minimum amount of rice I can make in this? Most of the time we only make 2 cups because there are only 2 of us, but I anticipate as our family grows we will be making more. Can I spring for the large one now or just wait?

My whole family loves the rice we make, especially the Jasmine rice. This rice cooker has settings for different kinds of rice. Make sure you watch the Zojirushi video on Youtube on how to wash the rice. It is a six step procedure that really helps the rice turn out better.

My family loves the rice without any salt or anything else in it. They also love it with boy chow or some other veggies mixed in. Also make sure you fluff the rice in the cooker after it is done to get out the moisture. Fluffing it, after cooking is done, helps to release extra moisture (steam) from your rice so that it doesn't get sticky when you leave it on the WARM feature, or when you serve it.

The induction rice cooker is pricey but worth every penny. It is a great time saver and go to staple for our meals. It's great for leftovers the next day. We store it in an air tight Tupperware for the next days meal, or lunch for school.

There is a brown rice setting on the ns-zcc, unless you meant the GABA brown setting

I wish they made the 5 cup induction one cheaper. Being same price as 10 cup is a bit annoying as the 10 cup is a larger unit and totally not practical. 10 cups of rice is a lot..

https://ricecookeradvice.com/ih/zojirus ... capacities

What are its rice cooking capacities?

The 1-liter model can cook from a 1/2 cup to 5.5 cups of uncooked white rice. The 1.8-liter model can cook from 1 cup up to 10 cups of raw white rice.

Uncooked brown rice has slightly different capacity requirements. The NP-HCC10 cooks from 1 to 4 cups while the NP-HCC18 cooks from 2 to 8 cups.

I have the 3 cup IH model for 5 years now. Still works like new, the non stick bowl still isn’t scratched up. I use the machine daily too. It’s truly a splurge once and you’re set item.

I already have the Zojirushi NS-TSC10. Is there any point in getting an induction one?

Also where would I buy a replacement inner pot. Mine is starting to flake slightly.
