Would get this in a heartbeat if it wasn’t for the poor paint reviews. If I pay this much for a bottle I want it to look nice for a while and not have paint chips. Will stick with my heavier Yeti bottle and hot shot cap until they remedy it.

I have this in smoke blue. No paint issues. I take it to work, the car and put it in bags. Been two years of continuous use.

No rock climbing, tossing it against a wall or running it over with a car.

Amazing insulated bottle that takes a beating! Mine has a few scuffs and dents. I thought it would have affected the vacuum wall but nope! Still keeps things hot/cold for 12+ hours! This is HOT buy and must cop forreal

I have one for my coffee.
It stays too hot after 12 hours! I have to add water!

I can’t resist to by another one for fresh water!

Having had both, the Yeti does not hold a candle. It’s big for its capacity , doesn’t keep liquids nearly as warm, and while I like the hotshot cap - it also is less safe than the Zojirushis. Mine did have the paint issue, but after six years of daily use. I felt like I got my money’s worth.

Great deal.

The biggest problems I have with this are 1) cleaning and 2) mouthpiece smells.

I use this to bring coffee to work. It does a phenomenal job at keeping coffee hot. However, I find it a bit difficult to thoroughly clean. I had to take apart the cap, hand wash each piece with soapy water, air dry overnight and assemble them back in the morning. Even if I do this every day, I still have coffee stains over the long run.

I have tried to drink only water from it, hoping that I would need only to rinse it every night. But no, in a few days the mouth piece starts to smell bad. So I gave up and restarted using it as a coffee mug and wash it daily.

Other than that, it's a wonderful product. Had mine for 7 years and still going strong. Had some paint scratches and a little dent at bottom as I have dropped 3 times on the ground, but the performance is not compromised.

Amazing mug, we have a few and they've taken a beating and then some and continue chugging away... best tip, pour the liquid at whatever temp you want to drink it at as it will keep hot for hours. Too many newbies pour it in at scalding temps thinking it will cool down only to burn their mouths.

I dropped mine on the first day and I was very upset at the dings. Now I see it as adding character to the bottle and I dont mind the scratches at all.

Pre-covid, it sounds so distant to remember... its like saying remember the pre-coffee days? :)

A few ice cubes would though I am sure some would shudder at diluting their coffee.

I have the same in black and an off-white/gold. Fantastic at insulation, almost works too well for hot drinks. Paid full retail a couple years ago and do not regret.

Meanwhile on China sites this thing sells for $1.50 free ship. Just to put into perspective the obscene markup put on top for doing nothing more than reselling, if the makers, in China, can still sell this for a profit. Wacky world. Smiling Face With Open Mouth And Smiling Eyes

anyone with this and experience with s'well bottles care to chime in on the differences? Both seem to advertise roughly the same features and capabilities.

Is it a fake Zojirushi / replica? Or the real thing?

I'm pretty sure this is made in Japan.

That said, they also sell them for $10 or something like that over there so the markup here is a bit excessive. That said, they still outclass most every other mainstream thermos bottle.
