no it's not a solid option.

Zotac should never be an option for long term use (since 9xx series), thats why decided to come up with this "extended warranty"(some regions) thing to save the reputation.

ANNOUNCEMENT

prices are dropping every single day; newegg has bunch in stock, or check ME daily if you don't like newegg.

MSRP is not far.

My 1080 mini says otherwise. But for price, hold on unless you desperately need a GPU or have money burning a hole in your account.

Depends on the stores you're checking for prices. Canada Computers, Newegg, and Amazon have really high prices for video cards (above the current MSRP), while Memory Express and Best Buy have remained consistent with their pricing. The only time Memory Express and Best Buy raised their prices is when manufacturers increased them. The other three stores raised prices based on demand.

I think Memory Express and Best Buy's pricing is at the current MSRP. The only way it goes down is if manufacturers start offering rebates again or if manufacturers drop the current MSRP.

Hold tight everyone!

I can almost taste MSRP... \ o /

If anyone can offload their 20xx cards now, they should before the market normalizes since the 30xx series is the better bang for buck to begin with before nVidia took advantage of the market to fleece those wanting the latest gaming graphics.
Why settle for full retail price when you can wait and get it at a lower price for better value (even better if there's a bundled freebies deal)? 😉

Just say NO to these 3 series cards. If Nvidia release the 4 series without LHR, these 3 series would be the worst investment ever (assuming you use them to mine). Why should Nvidia limit what you can/should do with your video cards?

F**k miners! Nvidia is not trying to decide what you can and cannot do. It's just trying to put its products in the hands of people who actually use it for its intended use insted of societal leeches who waste power for speculative profit.

As far as the OP deal is concerned... do not get a 960$ 3060Ti while prices are falling and availability is getting better across the board. There are plenty of 6800 cards at that price. 6700xts can be had for 779$ (or much cheaper if you can get your hands on one directly through AMD.

Thats like chevy saying you can only buy a truck to use it for hauling it it detects your not hauling ect then it shuts the vehicle down by 50%.Still works but has power of a prius however still burning the same amount of fuel as you would with full power hauling.
