[Amazon.ca] ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS 39500-112 Sorrento Plus Double Wall Coffee Mug- 2 Piece Set, 355 ml, Glass ($26.99)

Hey guys, this 2 piece coffee mug set has been on my Wishlist for a while, and I noticed it was on sale today!

Full disclosure: just sharing my find here...this item doesn't typically go on sale in my experience. However, I'm not entirely sure if it can be had for cheaper elsewhere and/or whether it has been cheaper in the past.

Enjoy!

I have these as a gift set for buying Zwilling woks couple years ago. They are pretty and great size to use for coffee. but they are very easy to break. I break both in less than 6 month. so not a good product for the day dreamers like myself.

Same here. Brought 6 of them and all crack one after the other in less than a year.

Great mugs while they lasted. Both broke within a year.

I'd buy them again, but I'm using the more durable Nespresso glass mugs now.

Anyone know if they have a plastic/rubber plug at the bottom that will unseal and cloud the glass once water gets in or is it sealed in glass.
Reason being all the double walled glass plugs have come apart after months of daily diswashing and wondering if these are any better.

Edit: first video in the reviews complains about this. Going to pass...thanks for the post OP

If you are in Greater Vancouver area, go to the Zwiling Outlet Store in Aberdeen for these, you can get them for about $80 (additional -10% off for new sign up) for 8 pieces.

Yep. They have them at king's square in Markham, ON too.

Took this picture when I was debating on picking them up or not (I did not). There's other sets too, but can't remember exactly what.

But think it's a good deal if anyone is interested and in the area.

Double walled glass mugs are not Dishwasher / Microwave safe.

Lots of Winner's/Home Sense have these types of single wall glass mugs (for about 2 for $20 or less if I recall)... bought a few similar mugs a few months back. I was looking for a specific size... about 14oz. and wider on the base (and hence, shorter in height) to fit under my espresso machine. Broke one, but it's my mistake.

These ones are marked dishwasher/microwave-safe. Obviously everyone will have their own experiences but I've bought 2 sets over the past 5 years and only lost two mugs. I use these daily and they're washed 1-2 times per week (in the dishwasher). Over the past five years, I have no issues with any unsealing or clouding other than eventual scale build up which can be eliminated with vinegar. Never had one blow up in the dishwasher either.

Great glasses! I have three different types that I use them with my automatic coffee maker for different types of coffees. Yes, you need to be careful with them, but they are dishwasher safe and I've been using them for maybe three years now, don't see any aging on them, as always, you get what you paid for! OP If anyone succeeds in breaking them, believe me, they break lot of other glasses as well...just go and get them, you'll be amazed of its quality.

Have 2 sets of cups and 1 set of bowls for a few years now.
We always hand washed them, so we never had any issues. The one that broke was because it was dropped. Lol.
They do a good job at keeping things hot /cold.

Just received the cappucino mugs that were also on sale. Definite upgrade and they look great. Much more group head clearance. Now no excuses for my poor latte art.

I bought a pair of these and broke both within 3 months, and I have almost never broken things.

Deal's dead now anyways, price is back to 4x.xx

It’s YMMV but Costco Waterloo has the bodum (8 glasses) for around 26$
