I get the whole “time machine” thing.

But it was 325 CAD on prime days.

Plus, you can get it refurb for $240 plus tax from Koodo ($0 Small Tab, call and cancel). Don’t know if that deal is still going.

But paying $400 CAD after importing is quite cold for this phone.
Please do not PM me with requests for assistance, unless I PM you first, or if I give you permission to. That's what the forums are for!

I bought this phone in this colour on Prime Days for $325Cdn and it also came with the earplugs too. So I too concede to the time machine scenario but the deal I paid was MUCH better than this.

It’s pretty good. You would save the tax. Just know what you are getting into with this phone. Lots of issues.

Using it for about 4 months now. Other than some minor issues that I can live with, love it. For the $240, I bought it for.

I'm just going to leave the thread. I was not happy at all with the phone.

Just for a price reference, you can get this phone for $450 plus taxes (no contract) from Koodo.

As far as I'm concerned, all the issues were software related and have been resolved, although the camera app could be improved.

No issues with mine whatsoever. Battery life is great and the phone is super responsive. I love it. I've been looking to get one of these for a while. Not easy to find a brand new phone with these specs for this price-- used may be another story though.

I missed the CAD deal on amazon.ca on Prime Day and ordered from amazon.com instead. It was a very similar deal to this. It came to 400 after shipping and duties. I usually buy my phones outright as I prefer BYOD plans. I'm on the 10gb 60 dollar plan with Fido and was due for an upgrade so this deal was a decent price for me.

Best Buy's website is also selling refurbs of this phone
https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/es ... 90115.aspx

I also just bought a case for my Essential and I'd recommend the Tudia Lightweight case: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B077JGGL16/ref ... 00_TE_dp_2

This is not a cold deal depending on one's preferences. It is actually a good opportunity to upgrade to a flagship device for half the price without signing any contract.

Also for the record, the people that returned the headphones on the Prime Day deal for $325 were credited back $60. Now that was a steal

Guys I’m not going to comment on this phone any longer in this thread. I have more than said my piece in other threads about this phone. Quote me or bait me if you want, I’m not responding. Feel free to send me a PM if you want to know my thoughts.

So what did you find the issues to be with the phone?
