[Amazon.com] Amazon Canada - Synology DS218+ for $349.99

For those in the market for a home NAS solution Amazon (and Canada Computers) have the Synology DS218+ for sale. Additionally there are a few current sales on Seagate IRONWOLF and WD RED 4TB drives floating around.

I bought this NAS on Feb-2018 for $360. It has barely decreased in price. Disappointed But Relieved Face
It's rock solid though with additional ram to run docker and VMs and plex hardware transcode.

I purchased a ds413J in 2013 and like it a lot. It just sits on the network serving up content. I only have 3 drives in it right now and it is starting to get full.

The DS418J is about the same price as this. Right now it isn't onsale but having the 4 bays is nice. https://www.amazon.ca/SYNOLOGY-Bay-Disk ... ics&sr=1-4

The J is the budget model. I know the older J's were not Intel based cpu while more expensive ones had intel based ones.
