For those interested in e-kickscooters there's a guy called Ben Fox on YT that does reviews, among other channels. But I find his the most entertaining.

I have the Gotrax GXL v2 and find it a good cheaper alternative to the M365. The range is a tad lower but it can be had for $270usd to $299usd.
For my commute, I often switch back and forth between the GXL and my bike. A bike is just as fast, if not faster than the scooter.
However, one advantage is I don't have to shower when I get to the office, so it does save a bit of time.
Overall, I'm happy with using it for casual commuting or running down to the store.

PS: keep in mind, these devices are may still be technically illegal in some jurisdictions

I'd buy from jpmobile, after state tax from Amazon and HST at the border the difference will be negligible.

You can if you ship it to a state without taxes.

How did you get your gotrax gxl v2?
Ain't easy to get one of these without border pick up.

I just bought a used Xiaomi M365 on Kijiji; very happy with it...

There are custom firmware on this thing to make it go even faster... I tested them and it does go crazy fast :P

Do not buy this one. It is a Chinese clone that won't connect to the Home app and is cheaper quality. You also will have way harder of a time buying replacement parts for it.

It has 90 days return policy, so I have enough time to test it.
Seems very nice, especially for the price. I have a Pedego City Commuter which I got 2 years ago and prices then were much higher. 3 pedal assist levels is fine for many people. I have 5 but only use the first 2.

Having 90 days to try it is great. Can you really return it after using it for a while assuming you don't like it?
