What is Prime Day?

I just read that Amazon will be having a Prime Day sale for prime customers on July 15. This includes Canada.

Not sure what is on sale but they are saying it will have more deals than Black Friday.

Yeah this is supposedly going to be awesome, with hourly lightning deals etc. I don't have prime at the moment but I read on Engadget the UK is getting 20% prime right now.

Is Prime always $79 or is it $99 here usually?

Time to sign up for the 30 day free trial.

If this really is going to be a huge day with new deals offered throughout, the mods here might want to create a separate subforum. Otherwise, either the main forum is going to get flooded with new threads for every deal or there will be a couple monster threads where new deals get posted and disappear.

Sales start at midnight, Pacific time.

Apparently Amazon is celebrating its 20th year anniversary, I have no doubt that it's going to be huge. Also some Amazon internal employees on reddit confirmed it as well.

I don't feel like reading so does anyone know if it's 1 Prime trial per household or 1 trial per person?

Already had the free Prime trial a few years ago. Am I still eligible?

I do have Prime for the amazon.com site though ... I wonder if I can use a forwarding address.

If you've already had the trial before, does this make you inelligible for a trial again?
