They sell versions that keep the bulb too. I could rig up something with a wifi bulb (to actually be able to turn them off), but not worth it.

Got mine this week 3 weeks after ordering from Amazon.com. Great improvement from my v1 at night (inside through front window so IR light cannot be activated)

Mine just arrived today. It's set up and pointing out the front window at the street. It's now dark out and the colour and clarity of the images are just amazing! I'll definitely be ordering a couple more.

You could buy one of those outdoor light fixtures that come with outlets built into them. They are kind of expensive though, I think.

Edit: yeah they are expensive https://www.amazon.ca/Home-Luminaire-31 ... =hi&sr=1-2

There's an adapter that allows a light bulb and has 2 two-Prong plugs at the sides

Only thing I don't like about this is the height is not high enough, someone can just grab it and yank it out. Something mounted higher is going to be harder to manipulate, just under the soffit or just above the gutter would be better.

It looks like it just sticks the cam lens to the window. I'd be interested in this when it's avaialble to Canada . Not sure if there are any 3rd party ones.

The Lifehackster guy has some pretty good videos on all this stuff, here is one i remember watching when i did a 'behind the window' install. Easy enough to get plastic shelf as he did and create a little ledge shelf.

I put mine on top of the box it came with. Though I do want it in a more discrete part of the window to avoid tempting a smash and grab. Nice you don't need the IR on for the v3 to avoid reflection on the window.

Could this be setup for live viewing on a firestick tv, utilizing internal/private network only (offline). I would like to use this as a child cam and don't want the feed to be uploaded anywhere.

Took about 2-3 weeks to get to Toronto... they are a nice quality silicone, couldn't find much in mounts/covers for months, a few things are popping up now (didnt want just a skin on it either) . I kind of wanted it black and more incognito, but i do know some folks who want the "hey look i'm a camera watching you" effect on folks.

Here are some updated photos..... i added a little tape 'flap' to just wait out all the 'water in speaker' things ive read about, but rarely ever use the sound portion of the cams anyways, but still sounds ok.

See images attached.
Is there something similar that won’t take weeks to ship to Toronto? Preferably available on amazon even if it’s more expensive.

Also, I can’t seem to find an easy way to mount my V3 outside my front door in the porch area, is there a way to do so without drilling or is that impossible because of the weather?

Prob sold out if you're just looking now, very popular item. It was there yesterday and I think it sold out, you'll have to wait for amazon to list it again.
