I was offered this on recent checkout and added it. I don't have prime anymore so may not get the $5 promo - was worth a shot anyway since I'll use up the gift card in no time.

Edited to add: I received the $5 credit a one day later "The promotional credit must be used by November 16, 2020."

You don’t need to have a new account. The code itself didn’t work for me, but the promotion showed up as I was browsing and had a button where you click to apply the credit to the gift card checkout.
