[Amazon.ca] Intocircuit Powercastle 11200 mAh powerbank - $26.99 + free car charger + FS

Looks like there's some sort of deal going on - noticed the free car charger being offered with a USB wall charger in this thread, I also found a code to get the same car charger for free if you buy one of the Intocircuit Powercastle power banks. This particular power bank was on sale recently for $3 cheaper, but at $26.99 you qualify for free shipping, plus you get the free USB car charger (looks like it sells for $9.55 on its own, though that may be inflated). People from the previous thread seem to be happy enough with it, as far as I can tell? Not really a smokin' hot deal, but not bad if you're looking for a power bank and a car charger.

Note: there's some conversation about IntoCircuit's iClever's reviews being shady in the USB wall charger thread. If that's something that matters to you, you might want to be aware of it (edit: I thought that was an Intocircuit wall charger, but it's iClever, and it's only the free car charger that is made by iClever). Though this discussion also came up in the recent Anker and Aukey threads, it seems like all of the the bigger power bank companies are engaging in this behaviour. Something to keep in mind, though.

As for this deal... Add the power bank and car charger to your cart (links below, or above, but figure I'd make it easier for people to specifically find them), then in checkout enter code THCCYU8M (right before payment). I'm not sure if I want to pull the trigger on this or not - I kinda want a power bank, but don't really need a car charger, but the RFD effect has a grip on me. Can anybody offer experiences with this power bank? It's the same price for an 11200 mAh bank as the Anker 6000 mAh bank was, on a lightning deal, so it *seems* like a good deal, but I just can't decide.

got this last month for $23.99 but no free car charger. regardless, this power bank is great! no issues charging my phone, tab & DAP. charges quickly & the into powercastle can be charged while charging 2 devices. the led display tells me exactly how much juice is being used (ie how much is left) & there's a led flashlight function as well.

i had an anker e4 a year ago (before i gave it to my gf) & this into works just as well. just my $0.02c

How many device charges can you get off one full charge of the power bank?

to be completely candid, i havent tried charging a fully discharged device multiple times so i cant comment on how many charges. whenever my devices are low, i just plug it til its at a usable battery level or when i need to use it.

alternatively i also piggy back charge (ie i bungee strap it) the powercastle to my DAP so i can use & charge at same time. my DAP has a 3300mah (i think) battery & it takes 25-30% off the powercastle to charge the DAP from 1bar bar to full bar. this is as much as i can tell ya

No problem. This review from The Wire Cutter initially had it as their #1 pick for portable battery pack (later replacing it in the top spot with the 2nd gen Anker Astro E4, but it's still their runner up pick, and that's at a $40 cost), and I usually trust The Wire Cutter's reviews on most things.

Showing the promo code L5QSTQJD has expired for the car charger. Nevermind, had the wrong code. THCCYU8M worked, thanks OP.

just read the wirecutter review. it says the powercastle does not support pass-through charging but by my experience, i could charge my music device via the powercastle & charge it all at sametime. reason i know its charging is bcos the led shows charge is increasing.

so this is a bonus for the powercastle if the others does not have this feature.

Got the battery pack and travel charger. Thanks OP! I was actually in the market for both of these.
I would've prefered a bigger battery and the dual 2.4A port charger, but hard to argue with these prices.

I have this battery pack. Amazing. Charges my nexus 5 under an hour and I am using the 1A port. I barely use my New Trent packs anymore.

Ordered this from Amazon and two months later still no arrival. So I went through the claim process and got a $24 gift card back. Wahoo.

Sorry, but that's not really possible. The Nexus 5 has a 2300mAh battery, so from a fully-discharged state it cannot possibly charge in 1 hr with a 1A charge. Either the port is actually capable of a higher amperage or you are mistaken about the charge time.

Thanks OP!! I didn't get the Anker I ordered on Dec. 6th from the seller Tevian on Amazon.com that was mentioned in a thread back then and I had to have Amazon refund me and investigate the seller. This looks like it isn't quite as good but it is still a good deal for a good product and the car charger is a nice bonus to have thrown in!

I got the one without car charger for 23.xx. used it for a couple of weeks now.

quick review.

1... fast charging.
2... solidly build
3... charge iphone 5 from under 10% to 90% and still have about 80% battery life on the charger.
4... 2 charging port = i set up my own charging station at work

Con:
1.. fairly heavy.
2... carry cause not the greatest or the prettiest
3.. not the prettiest.

You have to make sure you pick the free shipping option. When I was checking to see if the coupon code worked, it defaulted to the paid

Welcome to RFD dav326235! Sometimes it is easier to get a good deal advise via a month old thread on the similar topic.
