I initiated the return of my Wolverines yesterday with amazon.ca. The box will go into the mail today. And now I've bought the Magnetos to replace them for only a couple of dollars more.

Amazon is picking up the cost of shipping in all three directions :D

Difference between Magneto and Wolverine other than magnetic controls and aptx? Why bother getting Wolverine if Magneto has more features at around the same price?

The difference today is marginal so I agree it makes no sense to buy Wolverines. When I bought the Wolverines the price difference was something like $8 (or 25%.) The listing for Wolverines said erroneously that they had apt-X. So the only difference was the magnetic controls, a feature that's of no real use to me. So I bought the Wolverines. Now that I'm doing the exchange between Wolverines and Magnetos during the Lightning sale the price difference between the two models nets out to $0.80 so it's a no-brainer.

How is the quality of these? So many 4.1 bluetooth headphones out there QY10, mpow swift etc. They all have similar ratings on amazon, and around the same price.

Ditto, don't have Wolverines delivered yet, but if they don't have Apt-X and they claim to, they're going back!

I am weary of this brand. A lot of the reviews on Amazon state that the company gave them the headphones for free in return for a review. I want to take the plunge for a pair of backup workout buds (I have the Jaybirds blue Buds X), but I am wondering how long they will last, the fit, battery life and if they protect against sweat. Also, the sound quality. A lot of reviews say they are the best thing since sliced bread, but I just dont buy it. I trust RFD'ers more than Amazon and will probably just TOFTT and order a few different models and test them out.

Ill keep you guys posted.

I have a pair of magnetos and they're not incredible. It buzzes at higher volumes and the magnetic feature is a gimmick that probably won't be used.

Magnetos are heavy and may fall out of the ear during workouts.

Magnetos weigh 68gm and Wolverines weigh 59gm. I've used Wolverines on a treadmill for about a month. They've never come out on their own. I doubt +9gm will make any practical difference.

What does make a difference is the fit. Mpows come with 3 sizes of ear plugs and 3 sizes of ear hooks. That should satisfy the needs of most people. But as some of the amazon reviewers indicate, not all people.

The hooks can go on in two ways. I wonder how many of those who had fitting problems had the hooks on backwards. Here's Mpow's illustration:

where did you get those weights I would not trust anything written on amazon page. 9 grams is a lot. Someone weighed the manetos and they are 19 grams, which is still a lot. My single ear bluetooth headset from jawbone is 6 grams.

Yeah. A quarter weighs 4.5gm. So amazon's numbers make no sense. Another amazon.ca page shows Magnetos weigh 45gm. And yet another page says Swifts weigh in at 222gm! That's nonsense, even for shipping weight.

I have a pair of Swifts. They weigh about 17gm on my scale. The Wolverines are on their way back so I can't weigh them. Meanwhile I got an e-mail from amazon that says the Magnetos will arrive tomorrow.

Are the Magneto a good choice
---for use with a (bluetooth-enabled) Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0?

In other words, for use with a tablet, NOT a phone?

Or am I needlessly paying for phoning features that won't be used?

If yes --- might anyone be able to recommend a good quality, but inexpensive & portable & durable blue-tooth headset/headphone for a tablet?

Thank you for your kind help with this!
