Strange. I tried searching on the app and web version before posting and no results came up.
Tried again now and it still doesn't.

Thanks

I got the SN750 500 GB for $79.99 at Memory Express during BF. Really good deal for a great drive. This is a good-ish deal for the EVO though.
Why settle for MSRP when you can wait and get it at a lower price? 😉

The SN750 is superior.

Still a decent value for money item.
Is a 1tb evo plus ok for a 17" Lenovo y540? Won't run too hot?

Run hot in what way? Will it constantly transfer hundreds of gigs in one sitting, frequently?

If you run it like a server SSD, it will run a little toasty at times.

If you run it like a consumer laptop... even that of a power user, I doubt you'll have a serious heat issue.

I would worry more about ventilation and cooling of laptop CPUs and GPUs. I presume the Y540 is a gaming laptop.

Isn't the 1tb single sided?

I've seen posts on reddit saying they've put it in a y540 so I assume it'll work

I'm almost certain it will, assuming the NVMe is double-sided.

Even my Dell Inspiron 5505 ultrabook fits double-sided NVMe drives no problem.

I appreciate the confirmation from third parties.

I have the 1TB SN750. It's single-sided.

T7 would be more reliable compared to a cheap enclosure.
