It's a pretty bad tv, even for that price. Picture quality and UI isn't good. If you want a cheap TV look at the TCL 4 Series tvs, they are much better low-priced TVs

While a tcl 4 series may be better they cost more to.. have to weigh the pros and cons.
I have the the 65 omni and coming from a old sharp roku the difference is day and night better.

My only issue is you can't control the Amazon's with a universal/harmony remote.

Good price and it's an Amazon TV.

I can see this being attractive as an all in one device.

The cheapest one would be whatever LG Costco has on sale. I believe that one can do true 120hz. If you want the cheapest "good" tv there's a TCL 646 that's $1,300. Otherwise try shopping used or a warehouse sale.

Nobody should be buying a 60hz tv in 2022.

Depends on your use case. My parents only watch TV, so 60hz is perfectly fine for them.

Good TV doubt it's in stock though. Expect ~4 weeks for delivery.

...And pray CEVA doesn't deliver it.

pretty much unless your gaming on the latest hardware anything over 60 is pointless.

It helps for sports, but general TV is fine at 60hz.

no tv provider is airing anything at 120hz. don't think even steaming places do anything beyond 60hz

Exactly. 120hz is important for gaming or 24hz movies.

I can totally tell you have not tried this one, as there is a difference between 4 series and this, specially the 65” and 75” screens.

In addition, both are TCL tvs.

There is even an rfder who bought 4 series, and then returned it in favour of omni series and found out of box picture to be better.

Ps. I have a 65” and speak from experience. I have also recently compared it with a Sony qn85, and was impressed with omni and what I paid for it.

so the amazon fire 4 series tv is essentially TCL 4 series + fire stick, and the Omni tv line is above 4 series but below 5 series (local dimmer)? I have good experience with TCL 5 series so far.

Wonder how the tiny remote is with this TV. At times we do need a full-size remote (also know it's incompatible with Harmony).
