Amazon removes $25 minimum requirement for one-day shipping on tons of items

https://mobilesyrup.com/2022/03/11/amaz ... -shipping/
Amazon Canada has announced that it has removed the $25 minimum purchase required to make one-day deliveries in Canada.

This isn’t available for all products, but the e-commerce giant says the restriction has been removed on “millions of items.”

Look for the “Get it by Tomorrow” check box in the filter menu on desktop or the Amazon app to find these items. To make sure you get an item within the one-day window, check the ‘order within’ countdown timer on the details page.

Some postal codes in Canada aren’t eligible for one-day shopping. You can check to see if your postal code fits the bill here.

Amazon Prime costs $79 per year with a 30-day trial period. The trial isn’t available for those in Quebec.

actually u got that completely wrong. this only applies to people who are prime members. with prime u normally only get free 2 day shipping the free 1 day shipping was offered to prime members if they ordered more then $25 worth of stuff in 1 order otherwise they would charge i think it was $6.99 to upgrade to 1 day shipping from 2 days. now with this change the upgrade will happen without spending the $25. tbh it won't help for a lot of items as the 1 day option was only there for items if they were in stock at your nearest amazon warehouse and if u are located very near to that warehouse.

non prime members have to order $35 worth of stuff to get the free we ship it when we feel like it shipping witch still applies.

Okay. Will remove post.

I don't use Amazon in that way, so I don't worry about order minimums. I have prime, I order what I want and it comes, never worrying about a minimum.

If you are all excited about 1 day faster shipping, then so be it.
With prime, you don't pay shipping, that's all that I care about.

Also I have kinda an off topic question if anyone has some insight: I recently bought a $90 electronic from amazon from some no name brand probably in China. The gadget was kinda malfunctioning so I emailed the seller who was unable to correct the issue and they just told me that if I wasn't satisfied with the item then tell them my Amazon order number and they'll give a full refund. And also that I didn't need to return it, just keep it as a "sorry gift". I assume it's just not worth it for them to pay for shipping back and everything (the item probably only cost them like $15 to make). Is it weird to get a refund through this method instead of through Amazon?
its for prime members to get upgraded to 1 day shipping from 2 day shipping without spending $25 like it use to be for orders under $25 they use to charge a $6.99 fee if u wanted to bump it upto 1 day shipping. again the 1 day shipping u will only see it on items in stock at the nearest warehouse if its coming from like across canada or a us warehouse u won't even get the 1 day option

Is this actually new? Or are they just reporting on something that has been on-going for a while now?

I had a look at some of my recent orders going back to January and a lot of stuff I bought that was under $25 was delivered the very next day.

I am a prime member and lots of items are free 1 day shipping without ordering $25 worth of stuff. I ordered a USB splitter a few weeks ago for $16 and got shipping in one day. Granted, there are some things that do have a $25 limit. Perhaps they are now expanding the number of products that do not require the $25 limit.

Also, I believe the 1 or 2 days free shipping is depending is how far you live from the distribution center. I live in Vancouver, so often I get same day service.
Have a nice day!

Sounds to me that this program has long been in effect, but Amazon has expanded on the list of items that qualify for this "deal".

I don't think you understood or read the post....?

This only applies to Prime members who already get free shipping. The $25 threshold is for upgrading to free 1-day from the (already) free 2-day shipping.

Also, for non-Prime members, the free shipping threshold is $35, and there are no changes to that
