Amazon Return Scam

amazon scam

was just reading of how people are scamming amazon...
a person rents a po box with fake id...and as well has fake credit card for the purchase of amazon
they make alot of purchases...than return all purchases in empty amazon boxes as soon as it gets to a shoppers drugmart and scanned, payment is back on your card even before it gets to amazon
as these people know they have a couple of days head start as canada post does not pick up there amazon returns on the weekend at a shoppers drugmart ..so they have til friday evening to monday to close there p.o box plus cancel there fake credit card...so they get there money back plus keep the item...

i wonder how amazon will counter with this scam or maybe they dont care

Huh? Amazon often waits until they receive the item before they credit you the refund.

And if you already have a Fake ID, there's probably a lot other things you could be doing with it too...

It took me a while of being an amazon customer and a few returns and purchases before they started to instantly refund to my card when the item hit the post office and the most expensive return was $350.

Won't work for most for .ca, maybe in the States? Like mentioned above ^, you need a purchase history with limited returns before instant refunds are triggered for your profile.

I have a years old amazon account with hundreds of orders - it gets instant refunds every time. Opened up a second account with business prime last year. The business account only started getting instant refunds after about 3-4 months of consistent orders. Made my first return on that account 2 months in, and amazon didn't refund until receipt of item.

for small value items and if u don't return to much they will process the refund as soon as the tracking shows the item is on the way back. but really there is little point to trying to scam them in this way. if u do it to much they will sooner or later track the person down.

there have been a few story's from people in the us who scammed amazon for thousands of dollars worth of items saying they didn't get stuff or the box was empty so they could get the money back or replacements. cops found the people and there garage of ripped off items they were trying to sell online.

OP was buying porno mags with this fake ID but that wasn't enough so he ordered a real doll from Amazon and going to fake return that.
