AmazonGlobal Shipping on Amazon.co.uk

Hello,

I am thinking about ordering a phone from Amazon.co.uk that costs about 300 pounds, but I am unsure if I will have to pay additional customs. At the moment it only shows a 15 pound cost using AmazonGlobal Standard as the shipping option. Does anyone have experience or insight into how ordering a phone from amazon.co.uk works?

I have ordered two items from them in the past two weeks using their express service; both times were shipped via DHL EXPRESS without issue.

Usually Amazon global shipping includes the taxes and any import charges. In some cases I've gotten some fees back after I've received the item.

I ended up contacting Amazon support and they said there wouldn't be any import fees. Today I got a text message that I owe $113 in fees...

No choice but to pay or you can request a return from Amazon UK.

An update on how terrible Amazon customer support is.
After being told there would be no import fees, then having to pay $113 in fees, I contacted them again and was told to send them the receipt, and I would eventually receive a refund of the $113. Now 4 months later, I still hadn't received anything, so I contacted them again. Now I'm told that because the return window has expired, they won't do anything about this. So basically, I was lied to about not having to pay duties, then was lied to about it automatically refunding, and now due to the lies, I missed the window to do anything about it.
