Might as well buy a 4070ti at that point.

AMD is a mess at this point. Their production side is also fairly weak. It's a shame, Nvidia needs competition to keep them honest

Save up for the difference. It's well worth it. Better RT, upscaling, driver stability, productivity compatibility, resale value, etc etc

I've had terrible experience with AMD... driver crashes and crazy stuttering making games unplayable.

I've had absolutely no issues whatsoever with any modern game ive tried to play with my 6800xt ref. It has been by far the best value card given my purcahse @ launch time, across this latest gen.

Hell, I can even get FIFA 23 on pc to run pretty well, which is amazing considering reviews on the pc crashes / performance / stutters.

Both Amd and Nvidia got old stock to sell.

Expect new cards to be overpriced/ripoffs for a while.

Fixed; your welcome. After the profits these two made during the crypto craze, there is no way they will back down now unless they absolutely have to.

Bought one at $1,100 a couple of months ago. Love it. Gaming at 2k, everything is smooth and maxed out (apart from RT, and I'm fine with that). Zero crashes, zero issues.

1440p for me.

I was crushing 180-225 fps at 1440p with high/ultra settings in warzone 1.0, other games like valorant ect 500+ no problem. the card was a beast for $825 cad 2 years back given the 3080 shitshow. esp considering OG 3080s with 10gb are showing age already.

The 7900 xtx has an alleged 30% performance increase over the 6950xt... Seems like the 6950xt is a good choice for best bang for your buck, if such a high end card is needed in the first place.

My 6900xt is working just fine ;)

There could be a lot of refurbished 7900XTX in a few months due to the cooler problems. You can buy them with big discount.
