[American Express] Amex simply cash additional 4% cash back (targeted)

Retailer:

I believe this is targeted.
Just got an email to sign up for an EXTRA 4% cash back on my simply cash card. Only downfall is a min. purchase of $700 in 3 months, but it shouldn't be hard.

Please note this promo is for those that already have the card.

So you purchase 700 and then the 4% starts...

I got this email too, except $900.

1. Visit americanexpress.ca/simplycashbonus.
2. Enroll by January 13, 2017 using RSVP code XXXX and the last 5 digits of your eligible Card.
3. Charge a minimum of $900 in purchases to your enrolled Card within 3 months of enrollment.
4. Earn an additional 4% cash back on any spend above your minimum spend requirement of $900, up to a maximum of $50 cash back. Your net purchases during the spend period must always meet the minimum spend requirement.

Want to trade? The email that I received states a limit of $2,900 (not $700) within 3 months and then the 4% applies to any amount above $2,900!!! Astonished Face

Yeah, right Amex... seriously?

Maybe it's a typo? Should read $900?? Face With Stuck-out Tongue And Tightly-closed Eyes

Uh.... OK so it's a bonus 4% cashback, but only on the amount over $700/900 within those 3 months, and only to a maximum of $50.

Basically, if you spend a lot on your card, it will be a bonus $50. Nice, but not earth shattering and it ends within 3 months.

Lucky!
I wonder how they judge this. I stopped using his the card except for a recent Amazon transaction because they had the 25 credit promotion for Amazon.

lol funny to see how people get variations of the min spent amount. My email was min of $200 to a max of $50.

I stopped using my card ever since Costco dropped them. I only use their card for special promotions.

I think that's the point I spend at least $20000 but got no email. I think it's targeted for people that barely use their cards
