Gcr now offers $60 for it. It helps.

They sure take their sweet time. I applied Thursday Sept 3, was approved right away.

I received PIN by mail Friday Sept 11 (the PIN I chose myself...).

I did not receive the card yet as of Sept 13. It should arrive soon.

Yes it’s a hard hit with TransUnion.

At least it’s not with equifax, since many good offers require equifax hit (bmo, cibc, HSBC, td)

Can anyone confirm if they have been recently approved for a personal AMEX credit card when already holding 2 personal credit cards? AMEX did have a 2 credit card limit, but I saw pre-covid reports that the limit had been raised to 4 credit cards. I would like to know what the current AMEX policy is after their recent spree of closing accounts and purging unprofitable customers.

I received the $60 directly from GCR.

I've never had an annual fee credit card, can someone explain "You can cancel up to 30 days after annual fee has been posted (in one year) and get refund on 2nd year annual fee".

So if I'm understanding it correctly, I should cancel within the 30 days after the 2nd year's annual fee is charged and I will receive a refund?

Anyone know if they charge the annual fee right away or the day you activite the card? Just applied today. I wonder when would be a good time to cancel the card to avoid a second year annual fee?

AF is normally posted on the date the 1st statement closes.
