American Express Cobalt (#amexcobalt)

Saw this on Instagram. Looks like a black card, but not.

Supposedly launching next week in Canada. Rewarding those who eat/travel a lot.

Looks interesting and would be great to have a good dining card (that's not a Scotia card)

Yaaaaayyy, I'm excited for this card :)

My wish list for this card (or call them "product requirements")
-Earn Membership Rewards points
-Earn bonus points on Dining and Travel
-No foreign-currency-conversion fees.

Nice! Does anyone know if it is a credit card or a charge? Annual fee?

I would totally apply for that Australian card

Found on flyertalk...

5x points on groceries
5x on dining
2x on travel and transit

So... if this is MR points does that mean it is better than the Platinum?

Seems to be targeted towards generation X or millenials, in opposition to AMEX Platinum which is more of a baby-boomer card

I am thinking with that kind of earn rate that it will be a high annual fee? Assuming it is MR points that have the same value as the Gold/Platinum ones.

I think it will have a similar or lower annual fee than the Platinum charge card. It would provide a higher earn rate but lack some Platinum benefits (Concierge, Elite status with hotel chains, insurances...)
