American Express Personal Loan

Got an offer from Amex for a personal loan; the rate seems pretty high @8.99 for 25K over 36 months. Anyone else got this at a lower rate (just out of curiosity)?

Wouldn't a Line of Credit be better?

Only pay interest on what you actually use and very flexible repayments.
Also possibly a better rate

Not everyone qualifies for a line of credit.

I am definitely getting hosed with 8.99, 4.99 is pretty descent, in my opinion. Congrats!

Did you end up applying?
If so, quick question: When you apply, do they actually give the full $ amount of the "pre-approved" offer? I'm just curious as it says "up to $25k".

I got 7k at 10.99% for 24 months from them last year just before the pandemic and the lowering of rates by the central banks.

I wish they would send me one of these....I've earned enough points from churning I wouldn't mind them making some money back lol, but nope...not even a balance transfer offer
