Spend at least $10 in qualifying purchases using your registered Card at participating stand-alone Tim Hortons location(s) or on the Tim Hortons App by 31/12/2022 and earn a one-time $5 statement credit. Online purchases are excluded. Registration cap of 20,000 applies. Other terms apply.

Excludes Tim Hortons purchases within the following locations: i) retail stores, department stores, supermarkets, malls, outlet malls, ii) hotels, resorts, casinos, convention centers, cruise ships, theme parks, iii) airport terminals, train/bus stations, highway rest-stops, iv) hospitals, military bases, office buildings, and university/college campuses.
I wonder how strict they are about this. The closest Tim Hortons to me is inside a mall.

You can load $10 in the mobile app and use it at any store no problem. Is what it says at least.

Edit: ever since I got my gold, I’m noticing I’m not getting the really juicy offers on my cobalt anymore

The university one doesn't really even matter. Some uni ones have an amex logo but when I tap it gets rejected.

Hate and love relationship whenever I see amex offer deal. Love it when I see it in my Cobalt as well (whether I claim it and use it or not). Hate it if I don't see it in my Cobalt (even when I know I won't use it if I got it). But rest assured that I never downvote these type of deals.
