There appears to be two offers. 1 is $75 in purchases and the other is 3 x $25 minimum purchase. Same bonus.
2000 MR = $20 if redeeming for travel purchases.

Terms & Conditions

1. From March 27 – May 31, 2019, when you spend a total of $75 or more in qualifying purchases at stand-alone gas stations in Canada you can earn a total of 2,000 bonus Membership rewards points. The eligible Canadian Basic American Express Cobalt Card (“enrolled Card”) or Supplementary Cards linked to an enrolled Card must be the same Cards used as method of payment at stand-alone gasoline stations for automobiles in Canada.

2. Maximum of one (1) bonus offer of 2,000 Membership Rewards points is available per enrolled Card during the offer period. You can earn Membership Rewards points for eligible consumer purchases at American Express retail merchants as follows: 5 points for every $1 at or for (i) restaurant, quick service restaurant, coffee shop and drinking establishments in Canada, (ii) stand-alone grocery stores in Canada, (iii) delivery of food and groceries in Canada as a primary business; and 2 points for every $1 at or for (i) stand-alone automobile gasoline stations in Canada, (ii) travel services or travel bookings including air, water, rail and road transport, lodging and tour operator sales, (iii) local commuter transportation in Canada including subway, streetcar, taxi, limousine and ride sharing services. Purchases at merchants where these categories are not their primary business such as general merchandise retailers do not qualify. Merchants are typically assigned codes and categorized based on what they sell. Earn rate of 1 point for every $1 applies when the merchant code is not in an eligible category, using a payment account or service of a third party, a card reader attached to a mobile phone or online retailer that sells goods of other merchants or the merchant category is otherwise not identified. Provided your account is in good standing, points can be earned on eligible purchases less returns and other credits. Interest, fees and charges for travelers cheques and foreign currencies are not purchases and do not earn points. Points can be redeemed in the Membership Rewards Select Tier and are not eligible for transfer to programs that offer airline and frequent flyer redemptions.

Points may take up to 90 days to be credited to the account, after the Cardmember has completed a qualifying purchase. We reserve the right to substitute an American Express Gift card or cheque in lieu of the points. American Express is responsible for the fulfillment of this offer. Rewarded points may be reversed if the qualifying transactions are refunded or cancelled. The following transactions are not qualifying purchases for this offer: Purchasing a merchant’s goods through a third party, such as through concession stores in department stores, payment account or service of a third party, a card reader attached to a mobile phone, online aggregators that sells goods of other merchants or if the merchant category is otherwise not identified.

Yes, it was an email and automatically registered. Hence the YMMV portion.

My question now, is whether its $75 in one transaction or multiples aggregating to a total of $75.

Says "Purchases" plural so I'm assuming in multiple is fine. My tanks 45L so getting to $75 in one shot is impossible anyways. Also it says total in the T&C at the bottom of email

Exactly, I'm at 50L so even with a premium gas price of 1.43/L I'd have to be entirely empty to get $71.5 CAD

Does anyone know what qualifies as a "stand-alone gasoline station". Would a co-op or safeway gas station count?

I think this would highly depend if the co-op or safeway gas station is classified as a gas station merchant code.

Also got the email. I usually just buy gift cards from grocery stores for gas, but will use the card for the next 3 fill ups.
