Amex Gold vs Cobalt

Received the Capital 1 Mastercard letter like others. Thinking of switching over to AMEX and got the below offers from Perkopolis. What do you guys think is the better deal?

AMEX Cobalt $10 monthly fee = $120 Annual fee

Savings:
• Earn 2,500 Membership Rewards® points for each monthly billing period in which you spend $500 in purchases on your Card. This could add up to 30,000 points in a year1
• Plus, earn a welcome bonus of 10,000 Membership Rewards points when you charge $3,000 in purchases to your Card in your first 3 months of Cardmembership1
• Earn 5X the points on eligible eats and drinks2
• Earn 2X the points on eligible travel and transit2
• Earn 1X the points on everything else2

Amex Gold $150 Annual Fee

Savings:
With the American Express® Gold Rewards Card, Perkopolis members can earn a Welcome Bonus of up to 30,000 Member Rewards® points1. That's enough to redeem for a $300 statement credit to offset any eligible travel purchase charged to their Card!2
• Earn a Welcome Bonus of 15,000 Membership Rewards® Points when you charge $1,500 in purchases to your Card in your first 3 months of Cardmembership
• Plus, earn an additional 2,500 points for each monthly billing period in which you charge $1,000 in purchases to your Card in the first 6 months of Cardmembership
• You will also receive 2,500 points upon renewal each year

The Perkopolis Cobalt offer is good, I signed up using that and got good value from it. But the Perkopolis Gold offer is terrible, 30,000 points with a minimum spend requirement of $7,500. Amex's own offer is 25,000 points with a MSR of $1,500.

From another perspective, if one only spends the $7500 in the 2x categories, the total is 45000 points after six months.

American Express is learning from their mistakes.
