[AMEX Offers] Vancouver TransLink. Spent $5 or more and Earn a $5 credit.

Expiry:
December 22, 2019
If you have AMEX Cobalt and commute by bus/skytrain, make sure you check the AMEX offers in their mobile app.

"Spend a total of $5 or more in qualifying purchases using your registered card at TransLink fare purchase locations or at www.compasscard.ca by 22/12/2019 and earn a $5 statement credit. Limit of 3 credits."

My Bonvoy AMEX got a different offer.
Spent $10 or more and earn a $5 credit. Up to 3 times.

A cobalt card is not required for this offer - I have a SimplyCash AmEx and the offer appears for me as well. Additionally, offers are also available via the website after you sign in, so the app is not required.

Thanks!

It is $5 after taxes & shipping. Includes purchasing a Compass Card, Compass Ticket or contactless payment (which was recently added for amex)

Sweet. Also, 15% back in credits for using Amex with Paypal at a merchant, up to $10 ($66.67+ purchase).

If I reload my stored value.
Does that count?

Got the exact same offers - $5 for $5 on Cobalt and $5 for $10 on Bonvoy

Almost certainly.

I just did a 3x $10 stored value load with Bonvoy and noticed a weird issue - the $10 button was grayed out after each purchase until I re-logged in to the Compass website

Have a feeling it might not count, but will try it out anyways.

Qualifying purchases include Compass Card, Compass Ticket and contactless American Express Card payments for TransLink fare purchases.

Amex typically doesn't know what you're buying from a merchant, so I would be surprised if they can tell the difference.

Had the same issue. Thanks for letting me know the work around.

FYI, it took awhile for the amount the register. If people are still seeing the amounts grayed out, just give it some time.

I think i understand the delay now. The amount you pick will be grayed out until the transaction gets processed on their end and you receive the email receipt.

Amex Bonvoy card, spend $10, get $5 credit, up to 3 times, thanks OP. I had to sign out after each transaction otherwise the $10 amount option was greyed out and unavailable to me.

Don't forget to sign up for the supplementary card as well if you have one. Offer works individually.

Is there a link where the supplementary cards can be registered? I don't see any offers at all in the online accounts of the supplementary cardholders.
