AMEX Platinum holder, Trip Cancellation Insurance policy?

hey guys
How easy is it to get flight money back using this trip cancellation insurance?
I booked trip to Jamaica on March 19, 2019, flight is departing on November 23rd and returning on 30th.
I found out my wife is pregnant literally yesterday, and as she has history of Ectopic miscarriage, doctor suggested to cancel this trip.
I purchased ticket with my AMEX Platinum, which covers up to 2500 per person... but when I called them this morning, they say "being pregnant" may not be qualified to process this return....

Flight cost was $1200 for 2 of us... so I'm very frustrated....

Anyone has any advise?

Have you read the policy?

Just being pregnant is not terms for coverage. Amex insurance certificate does cover "complications occuring within first 31 weeks". But based on your info, this is not the case. Your doctor is simply making a recommendation but has not diagnosed an actual active complication

I just got back after over a month, yeah they are gonna reject this claim. there goes my $1000
I had no choice, both Family doctor and Specialist told us (in writing), that we can't go on trip in case something happens outside of country for 1 week, as she has history of ectopic pregnancy just last year.
I can still fight, but I don't know if I can even win this.

..... yeah you are technically right, but my doctors and I don't wanna take risk of any sort of pregnancy related accidents in flight or at destination.... and Destination was Jamaica, I Don't know what kind of medical I can expect compare to Canada.
