Deal Link:
Price:

Does not start until Nov 8!!

This could be the start of some blowout Sony pricing and I hope it extends to other sizes besides the 65". Would love to see a low 3's 85"

Use this ad for possible pricematch/beat at LD, Visions or Bestbuy

Good luck!

Thx OP

I grabbed the 85" for 4k, hoping price drops as well.

I read on avs that Sony will be having a massive sale for BF, but those are just words now.

Would be greatly appreciated if you mentioned this is for TVs in title.

You got a link to that thread? I'm looking to pick up the same as you got (85" Sony) from Costco and if it drops, have my bill adjusted. Where did you purchase from?

I looked for it but that sites search function is not very user friendly, If I find it I will post.

Got mine from Amazon, had 300 in GC, my CC covers 2 extra years of warranty so.

Seeing a $500 drop on the 65" is getting my hopes up for an $800-$1000 drop on the 85". Costco will probably drop their pricing closer to the 8th and a $3199 85X900F with a $100 5yr warranty is not out of the question. if this happens its "START THE TRUCK!" time for this cowboy.

Good luck and clear your card!

Wasn't really planning to upgrade yet, but suddenly $1500 for a 65" 900F sounds pretty good!

How does this compare to the 950G? Going off of faulty memory I thought I read somewhere that the 900F had laggy inputs? Did Sony ever improve with a software update? Is there a big jump in picture quality with the 950G or just incremental? TIA

In my research it seems that the biggest difference is the processor. 950G has a faster processor so you got better response from Android TV, but that doesn't affect too much your user experience. On Rtings they say that because of the price difference between those, X900F is a better deal

This is from what I've read and looked up.

900F has slower OS but an update has supposedly fixed it. It also has higher input lag compared to the 950G. 900F only does HDMI 2.0 on 2 ports vs 4 on 950G.

Otherwise these two models are very similar. Just minor upgrades that improves the overall functionality of the TV.

I am in the same boat and I am not sure how much the refresh rate will impact my enjoyment of movies. If you game though, the 950G would be the better choice since the input lag is halved.

Interesting.

I was looking at the 950G.

What is the lowest price anyone seen for the 950G

Visions had $1998 mid sept.

I saw the 55 950G for 1500 and 65 950G at 2000 during BB last sale.

I don't think the 950G has much wiggle room as it is the current gen but I think the 900F has more room to drop. It would be crazy if the 65 950G drops to even 1600-1700 mark.
