I bought one 2 weeks ago. I had been holding out and holding out for months trying to get a better sale than the usual $129 and of course I finally bite the bullet 2 weeks before a sale!!

I’ve requested a price adjustment.
UPDATE: Received my adjustment from Anova.

Thanks

Was contemplating it at $139 but the extra 10% sealed the deal.

Thanks. Been wanting to buy one for a long time. Now to get the rest of the stuff off amazon.

edit: Wow the container and other stuff is expensive.
Guess I'll being using foil insulation around a metal pot with a silicone pad underneath. Dollarstore for the ping pong balls.
Plastic bag water immersion method until I get a vaccuum sealer. Now to find my stainless steel cutlery and sissors to hold the bags down.

Might build a rack divider from stainless steel bicycle spokes.

Just a food container? What else is required?

Does anyone have any experience trying to get a price adjustment from Anova? It seems foolish to not offer one within the 60 day return window since we can return and rebuy which costs more to them but who knows. I'd love to get the difference back.

I really don't know enough about this, lol.

Does a food saver suffice? If not, what's recommended?

Foodsaver works great. Make sure you get a torch like an Iwatani for searing.

I called their Toll Free 855.421.8282 and got price adjustment of $14.45 CAD. They sent me refund email within 5 mins. I purchased the Anova a month ago.
