Awesome i've always wanted one. Picked one up.

Other than ziplocks is there anything i really need? I want to try it a few times before i start spending extra money on it.

I just used a ziplocks freezer bag for meat and a binder clip to hold the bag.

They're really good with the price adjustments....as long as you're in the 60 day window there shouldn't be a problem at all!!

My wife says that I don't really need this. Help me prove her wrong.

Edit: I think this should appear in every RFDer's signature.

The unit can't even boil water. You're not meant to boil with the sous vide method.

If anybody is looking for recipe ideas to try out first, cook a chicken breast or soft boiled egg. A steak is fun too but chicken and eggs can really show off what sous vide can do. They won't take a lot of time either compared to cooking a brisket. Be prepared for longer cooks with tougher cuts of meat.

I called their Toll Free 855.421.8282 and got price adjustment of $14.45 CAD. They sent me refund email within 5 mins. I purchased the Anova a month ago.
Thanks ! I just called them and they refunded me $15.56... they took 10% off the post tax price and applied it back to paypal..

I ended up emailing about my order and they promptly refunded 10% to my credit card. Very happy with the product and their service.

why not simply use a $20 slow cooker? Face With Tears Of Joy
Also plastic bags aren't good for your food in hot water I assume...
