I’m looking to negotiate with TD, in the past HSBC offered a prime + 0 but I’m not seeing it anymore.

Is there anything I can match against?

P+0.5% is pretty much as low as it gets unless you've got connections or money

Thanks for confirming, I guess I do have a good rate.

Back in december 2018, HSBC offers prime +0% for HELOC.... I wish I get the deal.... Couldn't buy a house quick enough to get the deal...

That’s what I had stuck in my head so I thought something like that was still around, but doesn’t seem so.

Banks will sometimes advertise Prime + 0% for a limited time. Unless you are staff or have a partner who is staff, you won't be able to get the Prime + 0%.

My partner works at a bank so our mortgage HELOC is prime + 0% for as long as she's employed....(which is forever! *evil laugh*)

Doesn't hurt to try. If you have other products with them like multiple mortgages and helocs or a large investment balance, they can give you prime rate + 0% as a valued client.

If you have a chunk of investment with a bank, they can offer Prime.
