Serious question: can't you just eat more calories ally dense food? You don't need a special product to promote weight gain. Just eat/drink more.

Shakes can be easier and cheaper.
But should be used to supplement and not as a replacement.

I know not everyone can tolerate it, but when I wanted to gain weight, I drank a lot of milk ON TOP OF all my meals. Think, 2-4 litres a day. Eating more whole foods isn't as easy for many as you'd think.

Weight gainer shakes are, I imagine, even easier. Though I've never used them before.

And, of course, that is only one part of the equation.
