Any FYF offers?

I have had a different amex gold back in the time when we the referral madness was going on. Would I still qualify for this bonus?

I don't care about FYF I need to get 40k aeroplan points asap to fly to YYZ from YYC at march end... Does anyone know if any of these offers will give me the aeroplan points within a month or so?

The amex cards are hit or miss. Some people get the points the moment you hit minimum spending requirements. Others take 8-10 weeks. In my experience, I've always gotten the points once I hit the minimum spend except once or twice on a card I've had more than once.

I dont think new Aventura account holders can get this. Also, this doesn't mention Aventura for business.

You'll see info on the Flyertalk Milesbuzz forum about competitor cards.
You'll need to go in branch to CIBC or RBC or TD, hopefully with a competitor's card in hand.

One of my friends got it in Dec and another one got it in Jan. Both simply asked for FYF Aerogold, confirmed and then applied in branch.
