Any good and economic tire to buy from?

Don't mind the Chinese ones should they were reasonably good,235/65/r17, any recommendation? Thanks

ETA: MY15 Kia Sorento LX 2.4L 4-cyl

looking for all-season tires as the OEM ones have almost no treads left.

I've never understood why people cheap out on tires. They are one of the primary components of a vehicle that keep you and your loved ones safe. You want to save $150 over 4 years on something that is responsible for keeping grip on the road? There is a fairly significant difference in quality tires vs cheap ones.

Do yourself a favour and purchase good quality tires like Michelin, Bridgestone etc.

Up to $130 off on Bridgestone at Costco currently. If this is an old vehicle that you may want to get rid of in the near future, then you may opt to look at used tires.

The only thing I will never cheap out on is tires. Stick with a top tier brand not some random Chinese communist brand tire unless you don’t care about your life.

There is a difference between made in China and designed and made in China. Things made in China are made in China but using materials and a process that is designed by the company.

There are ways to save money on tires, but ask yourself how much are you really saving vs how much performance you're sacrificing. Go read reviews, and determine what the correct value is for you. I see so many BMW X5s using brutal tires and it's mind boggling to me.

Might as well get a Canadian tire house brand instead of those Chinese brands.

Got a shop quoted me as follows:
Michelin defender 235/65/r17 $210 each

How is this deal?

Why is tire so expensive and still looking for a Chinese alternative option....

Probably not so much differences as a lot of these Chinese tire companies are nothing but rather spinoffs from those named branded such as Michelin in China. Trust me as I know how they worked....

To each their own. I would recommend reading reviews and decide if the $20 per tire ($80 over 4 years) is worth the sacrifice in performance and longevity). If you're intent on saving $80, I would imagine you could save that elsewhere, but it seems like your mind is set.

Buy a used set. Look for something older than 5 years and I'm sure you'll get a smoking deal.

Canadian Tire Motomaster line is actually not too bad. I've ran their SE2 and SE3 model tires for many years and had no issues. Not sure I'd trust their winter tires, though.

Canada, Eh!!
Check online stores quattro, black circle, etc.

Check with Tires23.

Check Costco and CT tires not bad either, they are made by major tire manufacturers I believe.

2017 to 2018: BOC raised rates 5 times and MCAP raised its prime next day each time.
2020: BOC dropped rates 3 times and MCAP waited to drop its prime to include all 3 drops.

I would still buy a branded name tire than a Chinese Co tire. There are specific requirements and designs by the more well known branded tires versus what may or may not be a knockoff tire. Even if both maybe produced in PRC, quality control may not be the same.

Could potentially save more money in the long run by getting a All-Weather rated tire such as the Michelin Cross Climate tire. Would save cost on buying a second set of wheels and tires for winter.
