Any good "mid-end" office chairs?

People online generally recommend the Ikea Markus or a chair from Herman Miller/Steel Case. I've tried the Markus and I don't find it to be particularly supportive.

The Markus is $169 and Steelcase/Herman Miller chairs are $1200-1500.

I looked at a few used HM/SC for $400-700, but they were all in deplorable condition (coffee stains, hydraulic lifts that won't hold, nobs that won't tighten, etc.). New ones are way too expensive.

Is there no "mid-end" market for office chairs? I'd be willing to pay $400-700 for a new chair, but there doesn't seem to be anything available for that price (at least here in Canada). I know the OM5 is in that range and it's supposedly awesome, but they don't have any Canadian distributors where I can try the chairs at (and ordering from the States will push the price up significantly due to exchange rates and customs). I can get something no-name from Amazon or Staples, but there is no way to try it, and there are no reviews for these chairs online.

Or is there any dealer of used Herman Miller/Steel Case chairs that aren't falling apart in the GTA?

Saw a good looking Office Chair at Costco within the last month.

Nice thing about Costco is you can return it if it doesn’t work out for you.

If you don’t have a Membership... try Costco.ca there is NO MEMBERSHIP required for that

the tcentric hybrid is a heavily advertised chair right now...I keep hearing ads on the radio.
I haven't tried it but they are just over $700. https://www.ugoburo.ca/en/office-chairs/ergonomic.html

There is a showroom to try it out https://www.ergocentricstore.com
This is RedFlagDeals, not RedFlagCheapskates. Rich or poor, we all want our deals so we can buy even more stuff we may or may not need.

Try looking for gaming chairs. Most are in the $300-$500 range. There are some that are in all black in case you mind the bright colour trims.

I have two air centric chairs from that store. I find them to be great chairs.
