Any good newcomers to Canada banking package?

My friend recently had his PR approved and he's due to come to Canada(only after clearing all the COVID-19 testing) sometime next month and he asked me if there was good banking set up to go when he gets here. I told him about the HSBC one which gives $500 when he deposits $10000, which I believe is the best bonus that he can get. Plus he can open an online bank such as Tangerine/Simplii to go along with it.
