Any info on Mattamy's "The Nine" project in Mississauga?

I've been interested in this project for a while now due to it's prime location and the community around the project that's supposed to develop (schools, parks, trails, etc.).

I heard that there would be a grand opening at the end of this month and appointments would begin mid-July, but as we are in the last week of July, the only updated email I've received is a "good things come to those who wait, coming soon, etc.".

Does anyone have updates on the status? I've seen quite a bit of construction crew and vans working away but it always looks the same.

If anyone has an idea on the townhome pricing that would be great to know. I've heard that it could start mid-700s for a townhome around 1500-1600 sqft but I've also heard that they would start around $1.1M (which is insane).

Based on recent launches it's fair to say that it most likely will be closer to $1.1M or even higher. Mid $700's is wishful thinking.

Yes, that is what I'm afraid of but could be the case for townhomes these days.

Drove by today with a ton of cars in the parking lot. It seems like the sales centre is going to open any day now. Not sure what the delay is at this point.

Thanks for this. I've seen this as a draft on the City of Mississauga's active development application website. I send you a PM.

The builder is really pumping up the interest with ongoing emails, google ads and social media... I'm guessing it will be a quick sellout in phases, and will be hard to get something here, given all the buzz...

Mattamy's online "lottery" system to buy houses is pretty dismal. Almost makes me want the 3AM lineups again.

They’ve been doing promos since last fall, so almost one year now. I heard they were supposed to open their sales centre back in July, then again sometime last week but the only thing they say is to look out for emails. Maybe next year?

If you are seeing cars at sales centre then sales have probably begun. Try contacting realtors around to see if anyone has access. All good lots at low prices will be gone by the time they open to public. Builder will also raise prices.

Talking from personal experience buying homes and condos.

Maybe go inside sales centre and try to get hold of any realtor there if you are really interested.

This is mattamy, they don't co-op thus no realtors.

That's what you think. Mattamy condos near Mt. Pleasant GO were mostly sold even before coming to Public. Royal Pine homes new development near McVean and Mayfield was 90% sold even before releasing to public and they also don't co-operate with Realtors. I knew realtors who could get me a lot. The builder increased the purchase price of the model I was looking for by 100k in a week.

The fact is realtors have back door entrance or contacts with builder sales and they ask purchaser to pay them directly in exchange for getting them a lot. Typical going rate is 10-15k. Again, only worthwhile if you are really serious and buying for yourself.

A few realtors I've spoken to have all told me the same thing - Mattamy does not cooperate and/or work with realtors. However, if you know of any realtors that have a rate but access to these units, please PM me their details as I'm seriously interested and might be open to paying.

Wait, this is a thing now? LOL...are we buying houses or the newest Jordans?

This market is clearly going nowhere but up. Get in while you still can.

Yep. Felt like I was fighting bots for a gtx3080/ps5 drop. As soon as the gates open, all the spots are gone.

Believe it or not, but I do think some people may be using bots. I get that there are people who have an impressively quick keyboard skills or auto-fill turned on, but even then, the speed at which the spots get filled almost isn't humanlike lol

Reality is even if someone does use a bot, there aren't any T&C's against this so they'll get their spot without any issues.
